Tokico Suspension Kit

Has anybody tried this kit? http://www.livermoreperformance.com/...on.html#tokico

I did read a write up on a custom enterprise "teamed up with tokico" kit but was pretty disinterested. I am liking the idea of a 1.25 inch (front) /1 inch (rear) drop with springs made by the same manufacturer that makes our factory struts. For the price, I may be giving these puppies a shot soon. The only thing that would steer me away from buying this kit at this point is if the springs were very stiff, like say eibachs. If these springs are anywheres around the comfort level of H&Rs it may be impossible to talk me out of it. Anybody have anything to say on these?? I am looking into the blues as I could care less about adjustability. I figure if I need to increase the stiuffness on my shocks that much I would just jump on my Interceptor and go for a ride.

Thanks

I see nothing indicating the springs are any different. I am assuming you are shooting from the hip....... You are sure of it???

Hm... I don't see this suspension kit on tokico website...

I would call them (Tokico) directly and make sure that this product is really for a 5th gen Maxima, before ordering it.

And I'm suspicious over the fact that they list different part numbers for the I30/I35 versus the Maxima.

I have found this kit on like 3 different sites, including Tokico. It is called an "advanced handling kit": http://www.tokicogasshocks.com/car/suspension_kits.html

Additionally, saying that something is not on Tokico's website isn't saying much. Let's just say that their website looks like it was put together by a kid in high school. Most of the products they provide are not explicitly represented on their site.

Last I checked, they don't make the kits for 5th Gens, only 4th Gens.

Our group deal guy "Import Car Parts Plus" sells these tokico kits for 5th gens and has them listed here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=458133

I am alarmed absolutely nobody seems to have heard of these considering I have found them listed by a handfull of pretty reputable places.

BTW: They are listed under "Coilover Dampner Kits"

Confirmed with Tokico today the kit is in the final stages of production and they hope to be taking orders for it by the end of June. It uses progressive springs and your choice of Tokico struts. The person I spoke with is Dan and his email is: dan.sugra@hap.com

He said the kit is aimed at performance but did not have final spring rate specs available. I will probably order this kit pending further information. He also spoke very highly of vogtland springs saying they are of "very high quality" and also that a lot of people simply do not know about them.

So for all you worry Nancies out there the information is real and the kit is real. Hopefully we can get some more information soon out of Tokico.

BTW: Tokico sub-contracts out the OEM spring production for the Maxima to an unspecified company.
