I've been thinking about buying a factory style spoiler and having it professionally installed on my '02 GLE. I would probably purchase the spolier from Ebay having a shop do the installation.

Has anybody here had this done to their car before? I'm just trying to get a general idea of the total costs... and NO, I will not be going to the dealership to get this done - I'm not in the mood to get ripped off. Thanks.

 

Since rates probably vary by region, you'd be better off asking this in your regional forum. People there would probably also be able to recommend local places for you to go to.

If you want to save money on installation, you can put it on yourself if you take your time. I had put one on my '95 when i had it. All you have to do is make a template of where you want to drill the holes into the trunk. Make sure the centering is precise to the bolts on the spoiler (there are 3). Drill, bolt, tighten, and apply 3m tape to outer pedastals of spoiler and your done.

I paid 100 +20 shipping for a painted spoiler for my maxima.
I also paid 65 to get it installed at a local place

When i went around asking prices for installation, i was quoted in the area of 70 dollars
