Y-Pipe Question?
Y-Pipe Question?
Is there a difference between the cattman and the warpspeed y-pipe?
Is one better quality then the other. I need a new y-pipe because my ostock one has a crack in it and is causing an exhaust leak.
Also how much would a new stock y-pipe cost? is it worth it?Would it be a easier choice?
Or should i just go get the crack welded?
Let me know what you guys think is the best way?

A new Y-pipe from the dealer is rediculous, something like $500+ dollars. As far as cattman vs. warpspeed, it's like a nike shoe vs. a payless shoe. They both get the job done, but high quality and construction come at a higher price.
Welding your stock one would be a cheap fix but it may end up leaking some somewhere else later on. I'd replace it with a junkyard/used y-pipe or an aftermarket performance one.

You be the judge: they are very similar.
WarpSpeed:

Cattman:

I have the WarpSpeed and like it, fits good and sounds great (but not according to my wife). Also, I got my y-pipe for $100 from an Org Member.

i also have the warspeed. Fitment wasn't the greatest, turns out the guy bolted the flange cockeyed and the rest of my exhaust was twisted because of it. But we fixed it. deff worth the price IMO. But I also believe that there is a OEM for sale in the FS section, not sure if it has been picked up though.
i dont know why people bash the warpspeed. I have it - absolutely no problems. Except for fitment; which is why i paid meineke to put it on. some minor welding and a couple of curse words later - paid my fee and was gone. MUCH better than stock but no "significant" gains.
wait so.... basically cattman makes a well-designed stainless steel y-pipe fro 350 bucks? or 400? and warpspeed makes ones for 199-250 with aluminized steel but performance wise their both good? what about sound, anybody have an opinion if they make it sound different? i know someone to do a pretty cheap install but im wondering if its really worth the money to buy a cattman or even stillen Y or just a budget, which is warpspeed right? y-pipe

Budget/LSS
Warpspeed Performance
Cattman Performance
Stillen
I believe only Warpspeed and Budget/LSS make a non-SS version and an SS-version. If your car sees snow during the winter, definately go with the SS version.
Sound wise, if you have a stock muffer still, you won't notice much sound increase over stock. If you already have a louder aftermarket muffler, adding a high flow Y-pipe will make the exhaust even louder.
Ok then- i have everything stock except for the b pipe resonator cut out i was thinking of getting a cattman rear or stillen rear and a warpspeed y pipe, without the resonator would that be too loud? i want a deeper sound not super loud though
