Redlinemax 5th gen bumper installed inside (no 56k):
On Sunday, Redlinemax.com had their grand opening BBQ at their shop in Laurel, MD. Corey had my bumper painted over the weekend and on Sunday at around 1:00, we picked it up. Here's a sample:

Install write-up:
First off, you have to remove the OEM bumper. There are several plastic clips on the bottom holding the plastic splash guard in place and four at the top that you can see when you open the hood. Once those are removed, the only things holding the bumper on are screws in the fenders. Irish found that if you simply pull the splash guard out of the way in the wheel well (front), you can get to those screws with a long phillips screwdriver. There's one near the back of the bumper next to the wheel well opening and one just under the start of the headlight. Once you have those removed, pull the bumper out. There's two tabs under the headlights (front) that hold it up there. Just give it a pull and it'll come right off. Next, disconnect the plugs for the fogs and you can put the bumper down. Look at the back of the bumper and you'll see four screws holding the grill in place. Remove those and the grill pops out.
Now for the install: First thing you want to do is paint the aluminum and painted metal behind the bumper black with spraypaint. Then, simply place the new bumper up where the old one is (make sure you mask it off so you don't scrape it!) and pull out a pen or marker. You'll need to trim a little on the bottom piece below the hood latch on the under-side of the bumper (you'll see where when you put it up there). I used a dremell with a cutting tool to do this and had to do it twice so I didn't take off too much bumper. Once that is done, you'll be able to pop it in place. At that point, you'll have to mark where the screws go into the fender on the sides (the four you removed) and drill out the holes in the bumper. Be CAREFUL here as this is how the bumper lines up to the fender. I had to drill it, test fit, hollow-out the holes, refit it, and re-hollow-out the holes again before I had a perfect fit. Once you have that done, you might want to trim the black splash-gaurd under the front of the bumper so it doesn't flap in the wind.
The next thing you have to do is re-mount your grill. For mine, I zip-tied it in at four points. This seems to hold it VERY well and cannot be seen at all. I recommend doing that way as it is easiest and gives it the flushest fit. Next up, you'll want to use a couple of sheet metal screws and attach your license plate (if you have one) to the structual bumper. After that, you're pretty much done!
A couple of things I'm adding this week: The new fogs are going to mount tucked in behind the bumper in the holes on the outside. Note that the real bumper is still in there the painted piece is just a bumper cover, not the structual bumper). I'll mount really small HID fogs on the metal structrual bumper tucked in so they aren't noticeable. Another thing we're doing is adding black mesh (like Chernmax's in the first photo) to fill in the holes and will move the front plate to the front of the mesh (for legal reasons).

Also, dropped on D2's. Before I left Corey's shop, I raised it about a full inch all around for ride comfort, but also to protect the bumper. However, even though it was raised, it still didn't stop the f-in valet from cracking it yesterday in DC!!! Well, the nice thing is that it is flexable fiberglass so the crack wasn't as bad as it would have been had it been normal fiberglass and because it's FRP and not plastic, it can be fixed. I'm going to get a fiberglass repair kit and fix it tomorrow and do some touch-up paint to get it back to 100%. (Corey at Redline's not gonna be happy with me....)
The worst part: the damn place claims no responsibility! F-tards!

wait i thought you told me you only need to drill 1 hole???
now al lthe holes need to be drilled???
seems like a lot of work to install this thing, i am begining to think my shop is going to have a field day with this

Never Valet your car. I worked valet for about 2 years at a casino, and lets just say its not a pretty site the way they treat your vehicle. Especially if the valet is pi$$ed off.

You know I'm no fan of any body kits...but having been present and helping install (I'm the one in the pic with the striped adidas), and seeing the finished product, I can vouch for the excellent fit. And it really doesn't look at all, particularly compared to alot of the front bumpers out there. Much better than expected.

GBAUER now................
GBAUER bumper looks great & the paint job/match looks perfect which I cant say for the 6th gen. As far as the 2 big open areas for the fogs you could put 2 little aux tanks of oil down there so that when you burn your 2 quarts every thousand miles you will have extra on stand by Man it really never gets old
