WTF my clear coat came out milky colored

Painted the rotors today. Thought this would be a nice touch. I put 3 coats of VHT high temp caliper/rotor paint on the rotor waited about an hour till the paint was firm to the touch and then I did a high temp duplicolor clear coat. It came out geat on the sides but you'll see in the pics in some areas it came out milky colored instead of clear... Its been about 2 hours since I put on the clear coat I am hoping that as it dries overnight it will go completly clear. Anyone know if this is the case?

You can see I kinda screwed up on the edges but I never was any good with details.

If this doesnt clear up I am deff going to use a diff clear coat on the calipers.

BTW the calipers are going to be matching black with "Infiniti" in silver.

It should go away and come out really glossy in those spots, I painted my pc case about a week ago and i put the clear down it hazed like then it cleared up after drying. I think it happens when you spray too much clear at one time.

That or if you spray to close. It should be fine... your rims are going to cover that area anyways.

They will eventually clear up. If it doesn't, you can always wetsand it and buff it out. But i doubt it's really worth doing that for rotors.

Nope performance too, the high temp paint actually absorbs some of the rotors heat. Which actually keeps the rotors cooler by just adding paint to it. Alot of people don't know but alot of Peformance car guy gurus use VHT high temp caliper/rotor paint on their entire engine bay. Cooler engine = Faster Car

Good news the clear coat is actually clear now. I am still just kinda pissed the edges are so messy.. The only point of painting the rotors at all is for looks, so if the edges look like crap.. it kinda defeats the purpose.
