Well, I believe the time has come to replace my rotors & brakes on my 5spd 2K SE. Any suggestions for the do-it-yourself type of person?

You shouldn't need to replace your rotors unless they are warped or you tore them up by putting off getting new pads. If they are warped, you could maybe get it fixed under warranty...see the TSB in the sticky for warped rotors.

If you are jsut swapping new pads, you can do it yourself if you have a car jack....though it is pretty time consuming without access to air tools.

Just take the wheel off, loosen the caliper, slide it off the rotor, and then slide out the old pads out and slide in the new pads in. It is a bit more difficult than that, but not by much. It would help if you could find someone who can help you the first time.

Good luck Gitsum
