Question for those using Apexi air filters with Berk Tech. intakes

When your Apexi gets dirty, do you clean it, replace it or what? At $80 a pop, is there a cheaper solution. I'm on my 2nd one now. Can they even be cleaned?

No need to clean, but you can shake off some dirt once in a while if you like.

This is one of the main reasons why I decided on the K&N filter setup for my Berk intake. Having the option to "wash" and re-oil the filter over and over again was the deciding factor for me, over the cone shape of the Apexi.

I just got the Apexi because it was supposed to be a better filter. I may switch to the K&N filter. It's about half the price of the Apexi right?

I believe it's significantly less expensive, yes.

compressed "air" used for pc and electronics cleaning. you can get some extra carp out of the creases this way, and not damage the filter fibers if you used a brush.

I've had my Apex'i on for over 40k miles. I chose that over the K&N for MAF concerns. I've cleaned it with a vacuum once.
