Yes, def grease the shims, and the little metal clips that the pads sit in.

I replaced my rotors and pads two months ago, i greased the shims and tabs.

Now for some reason i am getting a grooved wear pattern on my driver side rear rotor. I used brembo blanks with axxis pads.

i didnt per say use grease....but there is a brake pad lube specifically designed to keep pads quiet. Its cheap and I believe made by permatex.

I got the Deluxe pads. So far no noise and no dust, stopping power is great.

I got a local shop to do mine, no clue if they did, but i got Stillen cross-drilled rotors and Hawk HP pads. slightly weak til they heat up then WOW can outbrake my tires which is HARD considering im on Michelin pilot sport A/S rubber. the cross-drilled rotors look hella sweet through the rims.

yea that permatex stuff is straight. its a little thick so it holds the stuff in place, resulting in no squeak.

I don't grease mines at all but some people out there do it just because.
