Po 505 ????

Hey guys, since the last few days I was having a very low idle which made the car to stall, then few days later a cel appear, I've check with the OBDII consol, and it gave me a PO 505. To the best of my knowledge it is the IACV that need to be replace, but it's already been replace 3 times since a year an a half. Is there anything that need to be done beside replacing the IACV ? The last time it was replace by Nissan, they fried the ECU & the brand new IACV while installing it, so my car was down for a week and they end-up charging me almost a 1000$ to do the job. I can buy a brand new IACV for less than 200$, but before I jump and replace it do I need to have the ECU reprogram or any other work done at the same time ?

Any advice will be greatly appreciate, this time I dont want to spend a 1000$ for a recuring problem.

Thanks a lot.

AA

I had the same code ended replacing the throtle body it cost me almost $800.

Take it to the dealer and have them do the idle learning something i dont really remember and if that doesnt work they should be able to tell you.

Just dont go and replace the Throtle body until you sure it is the problem.

symptoms (low idles and stall) sounds like a MAF issue

I called the dealer yesterday and they confirm that PO 505 is related to IAC. If that would be the maf the car wouldn't be driveable but it is, it's only when the car is stop that the idle go up and down from 500 to 2000.

I'm going to order another IAC and see what happend.

Just for you infos I ordered the IAC from Rock Auto I paid 182.79$ which I think is a very good price. I try to encourage the local dealer but at 395$ they where way over priced.

I'll let you know soon if that fix the problems.

Thanks for sharing infos.
