What part is that and should I be concerned? Can it be replaced?

You should have showed me this today. Looks like AC lines? Do you have any pics from further away?

I think that they are heater pipe lines.

From the 00-01 engine bay pic thread, looks to be common issue.

my car has some rust around the engine too, i notice it started rusting after i sprayed it with an engine cleaner the one that you could get in any auto parts store.

I was wondering how you guys have your engine bay so clean.

Looks like surface rust...try sanding a section and if it comes off, coat it with something.

Its part of the coolant lines. Just sand it down and or paint it.

I've got some rush similar to that, not as bad. I wouldnt worry about it. But like the other folks say just sand the surface down a bit and repaint with some thing resistant to heat and you'll be fine. Probably need to use a small brush to get in there.

No problem, Jason. I doubt you lose heat in the winter. It's not like it's a German car.

yeah, mine's worse than that...i don't think it's that big of a problem.

if you want to keep your engine bay rust free, just sand it and paint it.

thats normal. you get condensation on it that then dries quickly. rust develops over time
