Non working windows and door locks Need Help

Today on my way home from work, I went to put up my drivers window, and it would not go up. The buttons would not do anything. None of the window switches on any of the doors will work, for windows or even the door lock switch.

I replaced the relay for central locks under the hood thinking that was it, but to no avail.

I can turn on the alarm, but it will not lock the locks. When I turn the alarm off the locks stay locked.

Anyone have this issue before? Its supposed to rain tonight and I live in the city, so no garage.

Thanks in advance.

Take off the door panel and check to see if the harness or any individual wires got disconnected.

Fuse...The manufacture usually puts a couple of circuits on each fuse, so it doesn't sound like the problem, but it's a good place to start.

I have this exact same issue, and replacing the fuses does nothing for me either.

You're main switch might have gone bad. If you can prove the trouble to that, I have an extra one I could sell you.

If all the switches dont do anything, then replacing the main switch wont help at all. Nice offer though

same problem

I have the same problem also, my seat does not work. I have taken it to a mechanic and he gets it working and says its fixed and as soon as I get on the road, I try to roll the window down, or move my seat back and nothing. He has replaced the relay and it worked in his lot of course, but about 5 minutes away from the shop it stopped working again.

Thanks

Well fellas, I figured out a quick fix to the problem without spending any money...With the help of illlojik, he emailed me the electrical system breakdown, and from there I just went to the "main driver door switch", matched up the wire colors, tapped into them and ran 2 wires from the corresponding window, straight to the batterys' "-" & "+" side. They let right up, BUT, i still can't get the driver side window to go up, for some reason it didn't work for me when I tried that one. Still haven't figured out the cause of the problem yet, but thats work in the making!! If anyone needs this electrical layout let me know...

No problem...Thanks for the shout out. Hope you get that fixed soon. I'm still trying to figure out why my passenger side window will go down but only go up sometimes or never when using the passenger side switch, but it's fine when using the master switch(drivers side switch.)

Hmm, sounds like a motor problem, or your switch has a short, I say motor because when they "get ready" to go out, they work half assed!!!

ok fellas, I've got ALL the windows up now, here's a description of the wire colors, just go into the main switch on the driver side door:

LF Window- Blue & Green
RF Window- Red/White & Red/Black
LR Window- Yellow & Red
RR Window- Green/White & Green

Just tap into these wire and run it straight to your battery, depending on what you want the window to do (*go up or down*) depends on which wire you hook to the positive side of the battey....Have fun, IT'S VERY SIMPLE!!!

if youve got proper power to the switch, then you can just jump to the power and ground of the switch itself to activate a window (and bypass the switch), rather than run wires to the battery

Same problem on hot day

It seems that when the car get hot from the sun, especially direct exposure to the sun, the driver's side window doesn't want to roll down. Its a son of a gun, cause it will work when the temp cools off, but then tonight same thing and when it cooled off, nothing still. All 3 others work properly and when i push the button i just hear clicking. Gunna take apart the door this weekend and get in there. Is there any airbags or crap in there??
