I love the power of my 2002 SE, but hate the tails. Where is the best place to buy some dark tails? Are the 2000-2001 dark tails a direct fit?

FYI: 1. I have no search function 2. There are no dark tails in the classified section and nothing going in group deals.

My questions specifically are 1. Will the 2000-2001 dark tails directly fit in my 2002 SE? 2. Where is a good place to buy them?

use that night shade spray paint stuff made specifically to darken headlights and tail lights. You can find it for less than 10$ on ebay

 

I think I saw some on ebay a while back.

 

i looked for months for someone selling theirs or wanting to trade and didnt find anyone.

so i just broke down and bought some...finally found a cheap place http://www.atozautolights.com/
$107.70 shipped

then i ordered the wire harnesses from daveb ($43) since the light sockets from an 02 dont fit into the 00/01 tails. its as easy as, inplug old harness and plug in new one

The '00/'01 are a direct fit to the body, but you will need to have the bulb socket wire harness from a '00/'01 to work. The bulb sockets are different between the 5th gen and 5.5 gen.

There are always a selection of the dark ones on eBay. Always! But none of them ever have the wire harnesses with them.

you don't need the harness...i don't have the harness and i have gle tails...the turnsignal socket is a little small...so i jambed it in there and all is good...if you really get woried...theres allways duct tape (cheaper then spending $43).

or you could prolly go to autozone and get a replacement plug and cut hte old one a solder the new one on .

What colour is your car? the black tails only relaly look good with darker coloured cars.
