Actually its the other way around..... 18" are staggered, and so are the 19s. My friend has 19" G35c Forged Rays on his 02 6spd Max.

AXIS wheels- bend easy, crack eassy, and weight a ton. Most of their 18" wheels are 22-28lbs each depending on the model and size. My Volks are made in *1995* and they still look great, considering they are 11 year old wheels. I run 18x8 front and 18x9 rears, on Toyo T1R 245-40-18 front and 265-35-18 rears. No rubbing problems here- its all in the offset.

I'm not much into bling like most people here are, I buy the wheels for their reputation and weight. Unfortunately if you want those kind of wheels, you need deep pockets.

Read the stickes in the Tire/Wheel section... the G35 18's are not staggered... They are 18x8 with a 30mm offset. This is the 7-spoke version, the only one in 18" if I'm not mistaken.

Muahahaha Axis rims look nice and who cares if they weigh 4 lbs more like 16 lbs is really gonna make that big of a difference on a car. All rims will bend and brake if you drive like a psycho.

4lbs DOES make a big difference on a car... especially since most 18-19" Axis wheels weight around 24-28lbs compared to the forged examples of some nice JDM wheels that are around 14-18lbs... 10 lbs is a huge diff, especially on automatic 3.0Ls which aren't exacly top fuel funny cars to begin with.

I doubt that 10 lbs does make a difference. Quick someone throw in a 10lbs weight into your car and see how much of a difference. You might loose 4 seconds from your 1/4 time lol

Its 10lbs of ROTATIONAL MASS, its not like putting 10lbs in your trunk. Your engine has to work harder in order to turn the wheels around. You would be supprised how much diff there is when runing wheels this light down the 1/4 vs some heavy azz Axis stuff.

For every pound in rotational mass you add to your car it is like adding 8 pounds to your car...

So yes, rotational mass makes a big difference.

So what your saying its harder to rotate something then to pull it. So to rotate 10 lbs is harder then pulling 10lbs?

wow I didn't see this thread before, but I lol'ed at this post...first of all, rotational mass has to do with the distance from the axis of rotation and weight...nothing like putting 10 lbs in your trunk. Second, if you gained 4 seconds on your 1/4 mile time that would make a 3.0 auto a 19 second car...

I am sure thet you can make your Maxima handle well with your staggered wheels, I NEVER SAID THAT IT COULD NOT BE DONE! However, as you yourself state, it's not an easy slap together task.

That being said, you're drifting the wrong car. Why would anyone want to drift a FWD car anyways. Is it even possible? Once you hit the throttle you pull yourself out of the drift. Real drifting is blasting the gas through the turn. You're just reliving your Big Wheel days. I just saying!
You really don't know who you are arguing with here..... I will never know as much about Maxima handling as any of the guys you are trying to make look stupid.

This thread should be renamed: Handling-illiterate newbies try to prove seasoned Maxima owners and racers wrong... and just look stupid doing it.

lol. Well i'm putting some staggered 18s on my car. 18x8 front and 18x9 rear , 245 tires front and 265 rear. They also are a perfect fit for whenever i upgrade to a G35 or 350z so i've got all bases covered. They were cheap too.

I didn't buy them for performance, i bought them for the price but i'm no dummy, I bought some forged rays wheels
