My dealer will be installing the fuel filler guard for me after I printed up the thread and showed it to the service guy. He was very helpful, and gave me no problems. I was unable to find the quantity of each screw and clip needed for the below part numbers, and if anybody could provide me with this information it would be greatly appreciated as the dealer does not have any of the screws and clips in stock and needs to place an order.

Following parts are needed but quantity is unknown:

76749-40U00 Proctector 5.43ea (1)
172290-2Y000 Proctector 9.94 ea (1)
01553-09321 Clip .53 ea (4)
01451-00841 .67 ea screw (?)
01461-00991 .54 ea screw (?)
63848-35f00 2.34 ea clip (?)
768820m000 2.83 ea clip (?)

 

If you looked thru the many threads, you'll discover the job can be done without the screws, only clips. I ended up installing both protectors myself (less than 5 minutes, without removing the tire)

You'll need 1 ea of the protectors and a total of 6 clips (17572-0B010).

 

Thanks, but why are the clip part numbers that you are providing different than the other part numbers circulating in the fuel filler guard thread?

 

Hi, somewhere along the threads is where I got the clip number. Even the parts sticker on the bag in which the clips were shipped matched the number. They're the "butterfly anchor" type that spread when you snap them in, similar to the ones holding in the trunk liner.
