the campfire will be around my exhaust...

just got my exhaust installed, and everything is good except for the fact it's sitting right on my bumper. has anyone experienced this, and if so what did you do to solve it? i figure i'll have to cut it, so if anyone has any pictures of how theirs' came out i'd appreciate that.

i just hope that it doesnt get hot to the point where it starts a fire, or something...it already smells like burnt pizza.

Heh, like a musket.

If you can weld and what not cut the hangers and just put in longer ones.

i thought of that option, but it reduces the life of the replaced hangers because of corrosion...

Go to AutoZone or any local autoparts store and look for longer hanger supports. I know that PepBoys and AutoZone carry quite a feww different ones. Pull off the OEM rubber support and replace with a bit longer one and you'll be good to go.

That is the residual manufacturing oil or something burning off, no biggie.

Your bumper will melt slightly, but it won't be a big deal. I had a GReddy EVO that melted into the bumper a little. I had it for a year and it didn't melt anything more than 1/8".

How hard is it pressing into the bumper? Maybe you you can tighten up the rear most exhaust hanger it'll pull the rear up and lower the front. This'll only work if its not that tightly pressed in there.

its the tsudo catback n1 exhaust and its barely touching the bumper... pushing ever so slightly... hangers would work but i would be afraid of bumps smacking it against the bumper since it is hanging lower.. why not just cut the bumper a little?

They are hard rubber. Should have no issues with that.

Exactly what I did for my evo as well.

I wouldnt cut the bumper just go to autozone, much easier and not permanent.

Who installed your exhast & didn't adjust it so it didn't touch your body?

If you got it done at a muffler shop they should adjust it for you before it causes damage that they would be liable for.
