Looking at buying a 2k2/2k3 Maxima...a few questions

I am looking at buying a 2k2 or 2k3 6 Speed SE Maxima to replace my destroyed 4th gen, but I had a few questions first.

A) Is it true that HLSD was an option on early 2k2s, but became standard after? How can I tell if the car came with it besides looking for drilled pedals? Any specific production date? Or should I look for H in the tranny code on the vin plate?
B) Besides the color, bose 6 disc player, interior accents and door sills, is there any other reason to get a Titanium Edition 2k3?
C) Any other issues to look for besides those that are listed in the TSB?
D) Is there any specific production date I should stay away from (i.e. late 2001 builds)?
E) Any specific packages to look for?
F) What are some good websites I can use to search for cars for sale besides autotrader.com?

Thanks

A) From what I know, early model 2k2's did NOT come with HLSD...not even as an option...then later 2k2's and after 5.5's, came with HLSD as an OPTION...it was never standard...

B) If your eyes are dead set on the titanium edition, go for it...but I don't see any reason why you HAVE to settle for one...unless your one of those junkies who HAS TO HAVE everything exclusive...If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy a base model, and mod myself...

C) Just keep your eye out on the MAF...ours suck real badly...also the oil burning issue is a big concern as well...I can't really think of anything else from the top of my head

D) From what I know, early 2k2's have the most bugs...

E) Meridian, Leather, 6spd, Titanium, HLSD...I can't think of anymore options

F) Maxima.org

Seriously, just browse around a bit and check some of the stickies. There's a pretty good amount of information listed in there that may help out. Sorry about your 4th gen accident.

I suggest you purchase an OBDII code reader. It would be $100 (approx.)
well spent.
Scan for codes before buying. If a system shows "not ready", a code
has probably been cleared and the engine light will probably be on
after a day or two of driving.
You don't have to pass on a car because its throwing codes, but
you should negotiate on the price.
Goodluck.
