Muffler change

Just had my mechanic change my muffler...the only problem...H had to cut off the exhaust tip and now all I got its two little pipes that dont match the spot on the bumper....The question is...should i bother buying a new tip? I can get the exact same thing on ebay for 15...but he has to weld it on...should I?

It's up to you...it's your car. If the tips are still good from your old muffler, then weld them back on. Yeah, I had to trash my tips when I installed a new muffler, but I ended up buying the 6th gener's tips because they were two seperate pieces. They served their purpose and I'm happy with it. The tips are just for show, anyway. Just buy what you think looks good on your car since it's yours. In other words, any tip will look fine.
