Front Window Problem When Using Remote To Put Windows Down

When I use the keyless entry remote to put the front windows down they only go down about 3-4 inches. I then have to release and hold the botton again to get them to roll down all the way. Anyone know what causes this or if there is a way to fix it? Or are they supposed to that?

no there not supposed to do that..try replacing the battery in your remote..the signal may get weak or lost as you hold it down and it thinks you are releasing the button. just my .02

Have you actually tried your windows?!?!

They are supposed to do that. Think about it?? If every time you held the unlock button longer than normal the windows went all the way down....how would that leave the car?? Pretty unsecure right???

It's a safety/security measure. My windows "crack" with the first touch and then roll down as long as I hold the unlock key.

Most Nissan/Infiniti vehicles have this feature. Sometimes I need to push my unlock twice and hold it before they go all the way down. No biggie.

Pretty common. Mine do the same thing. Nothing really to worry about.

it is supose to do that when the car is locked. if you first unlock the car and then hold the unlock button they will open all the way. There is nothing to worry about.

Uhmm, when you do the auto-rollup from inside the car does it go up 3/4 of the way then just stop or does it go up all the way?

I really wish I had that feature on my 01. It would be really useful since the temps get up to 120 here.

I'm not worried about it but it's kind of annoying so I thought I'd ask.
Dimashka - I have tried unlocking the car first and the same thing happens. The funny thing is about 1 out of every 10 times the windows go down all the way on the first try. That's why I figured something must be wrong. It's something I can live with but I figured I'd check to see if anyone knew of a fix.
