The switch Greddy to Cattman

All I have to say is that it's the best switch I have made. The cattman is more quieter then the greddy in so much ways. At idle and at 60mph. Also greddy's cat-back is not 2.5 more like 2.25. The cattman exhaust is bigger. Now all I need is the fast cat. The Cattman is well worth the money they go with the cattman headers perfectly.

is there any drone? I wanted to get the cattman cat-back with stock y-pipe but read that there's alot of drone below 2500rpm especially noticeable on auto's.
read it on the great exhaust thread.

I have an auto but I have headers. I found out with my greddy that the headers a queiter then the y-pipe. It depends on what you call a drone. I can tell you it's less of a drone then a greddy.

The Cattman drones more than stock but the drone is not as loud as if you had a GReddy or any one of those potato launchers.

Me also... Stopped myself last minute when I started to remember all the reasons I sold it.

I want to give Magna Flow a try, my friend has a Magna Flow set up on his Lincoln LS (V6) and it sounds really nice.

I was thinking about getting the cattman too, but i have an auto and i was told that it doenst make much of a difference if i just kept my stock exhaust if i had headers and y pipe with intake..

Depends on why you want it. The Cattman rear definitely sounds good with headers, but the additional power gains of that over the stock muffler are minimal. Get headers and a b-pipe first, then decide if you still want the rear section.

oh wait.. why not the y pipe? hot shot sells the y pipe and headers, or was that a b pipe??? for like 600 bucks.. and i thought their were minimal power differences in the b pipe and y pipe.

Around here, when we say "headers" that includes both manifolds and the y-pipe piece. See the Header sticky for more information.

As for replacing the stock b-pipe, the crimped bends in the stocker are pretty restrictive, so most 2.5" aftermarket mandrel bent b-pipes will help get rid of those.

ooooooooooh.. i see.. i'mma wait on this cuz of the turbo kit that is coming out from SSR. i would like to get the cattman cuz of the sound but i just thought it might sound funny with an auto cuz you know how with a manual you can def tell he or she has a manual when you listen to an exhuast.. so i was just wondering if it would be ideal for an auto.

You mean this kit?

The discussions have been dead for ages. SSR has never delivered anything, as far as I can remember.

Cattman FTMFW! i love my cattman exhaust and Y pipe. i honestly dont think it drones, its much better than my Apex'i on my accord. since i have an automagic, leaving the car in 3 and hearing the growl of the Cattman is awesome. i want the headers really bad, but its just not a good idea now.

so for Cattman exhaust, and the Cattman strut bar is damn good too, mwhahaha

I have an auto 2k1 with the Cattman cat-back & Y-pipe and it sounds great, no drone just a real nice sound. I cant wait to put the headers and the fast-cat.

Cattman... No contest.

Used to be able to say Cattman or Frankencar, but Frankencar no longer makes exhaust parts for us.

Cattman is a direct factory fit so you can mix exhaust parts (including stock) to get the sound you are looking for. Not to mention that it is Stainless Steel, so it not going anywhere.

I have a Greddy Evo I exaust and I love it.
Being that it is big and also called a potato launcher, i love the sound. With original headers, y-pipe and cat, the sound is not too loud.
I like magna flow exhausts, i didnt know they made anything for maximas, unless your going to weld it to the original pipe.

I am not say the greddy is bad either. I had it for 5 yrs. I like the dual tips better so I bought the cattman.

I'd say the Cattman B pipe is the best exhaust mod on my car. The Stock Greddy one was not enough when I got my Y-pipe.
