I had the yellow on for awhile and decided to change things up a bit. I now have the smoke. I also painted out my upper and lower grille in a charcoal color, I love the set up now. Opinions are welcome.

Honestly....not feeling it smoke. The yellow was ok, but really, for headlights clear is best IMO. Smoked headlights seem a bit counter-productive anyhow.

 

I like the smoke but I don't think it flows well with the grill. If you decide to leave them smoked, you should do the clear corners too.

 

does it make the hid's dimmer? looks ok not my style tho but glad you took out that hood scoop thing.

 

I also think clear is the way to go, but if you want to keep it that way do what Chrome suggested and do the sidemarkers too.

Not so much in brightness but in terms of color. With the yellow overlay it gave off a obvious yellow affect but still kind of blue. With the smoke overlay it gives off a darker blue maybe violet affect. Brightness isn't sacrificed at all so it's worth it in that respect.

 

I would say lose the color on the lights and the wierd fog covers, you dont need to mod EVERYTHING on the car Some stuff looks ok stock, you already cleared out the HID's just leave em be

 

Thanx... but I'll mod the whole car until it looks like what I want it to.

If your happy driving completely stock, which is half the org members, then so be it. What sets your car, or anyone else for that matter apart from others??? I like changing things up just to see what they look like and for the time being I'm diggin it.

lamin-x is a protective film correct? helps protect against road debris like rocks and etc? wonder if i can use this stufff on my cf lip to prevent rock and otehr stuff from hitting it and cracking it.

 

Yeah that's what it's for. I'm not sure what's the largest size sheet you can purchase but I know it comes in clear.

 

want to help me out by letting me know where you bought yours from? i will search though because i will need a pretty big sheet of it.

I got mine from lamin-x but if you google just put in headlight protection. Look at the last link that'll probably be your best bet.

for the fog lights i got some from stickercity.com i got yellow and clears from them now they have smoked too i think that'll look good on black cars
