xlcrew, I believe you have wired them wrong. The HID's are supposed to stay on when the high beams are turned on at the same time. This method is used because it saves the life of the ballast and HID bulb from the quick turning on/off of the HID's.

check the 3rd and 4th gen forums also since their low beams turn off with highbeams. i know of something you can do but i dont know if its recommended. run a diode from the signal on highbeam relay to the signal on low beam relay. that way high beams come on and will leave the coil in low beam relay active but with low beams only, high beams will stay off.

No need to run diodes or modify the relays. He just needs the correct instructions on wiring the 2k2-2k3 HID's in his 2k. Evidently, he just got some wires mixed up. I have mine wired up coorectly. Again, xlcrew, you can PM and let me know how you have them wired up, and I can tell you how you can go about in correcting the problem you are experiencing.

Yes. There are 3 wires coming out of the original H4 connector. You should connect the ground to the chassis or battery -ve and not route it back to your HID and high beam. This will fix your problem.

green with white stripe : parking light wire : goes to : red/yellow on nissan

black : ground wire : goes to : ground this wire to the body of car

red : xenon positive : goes to : pink/blue or orange/black on nissan harness with one wire from high beam plug

There are also two wires on the high beam bulbs

If you are looking at the headlight and bulb from the rear

The wire to the left should be spliced with the xenon wire and to the pink/blue or orange/black on nissan harness

And the wire to the right goes to the blue/white or green/black on nissan harness
