PCV valve ...

What's the best way to remove this sucker? Do I pull on the hose without removing the clamp, and the valve should pop out eventually? After it pops out, remove the clamp then, and insert a new valve, then reattach? There's like no room to do anything ... geesh. Maybe I'll get my 4 year old to try, hehe.

I don't know if the 00 model is threaded in but on my 02 I used a crescent wrench to loosen and it came out pretty easily. I had the intake manifold off as well cause I was doing the spark plugs. HTH

I just changed the PCV valve in my 03 Maxima. When I took out the old was it was oily and greasy.
My question is... what are the benefits of changing the PCV valve?

there are no threads on it, so you need to pull on the hose lightly yanking it from side to side... i had a very hard time...
