difficulty in replacing O2 sensors??

How difficult is it to replace four O2 sensors in a 2001 cali spec? I already have the sensors and I have a Haynes manual. How much would a garage charge to install them?

Thanks,
-T

If you have the parts and a Haynes, why would you even think of taking it to a garage?

Assuming you have the proper tools (jack,jackstands,o2 sensor socket or 22mm wrench, pliers to get those annoying clips for the wires off, wd40 or similar product,.....) It shouldnt be that bad. But as with all installations assume the worst. I would think it will take you depending on skill about 1.5 -3 hours. If they are stuck fast and additional steps are taken maybe more. It' s not that it extremely difficult to do just that some of them are hard to reach and tough to get leverage on to turn.

On a seperate note why are you replacing them?
Just curios.

thanks. I am replacing them because the engine threw a code that signals a bad 02 sensor. I've replaced MAF, and the coils, already. This is next on the list of 'things that go wrong with 5th gens'; I've had the parts for a while. Now I'm ready to replace them. the car has 109K miles.
