I didn't realize for a few weeks why I'm
driving with the lights on in the daytime. The auto-photo cell must be bad because the lights stay on till a blast of sun actually hit's the cell. I've had them come on when the sun is in my eyes coming home from work. If you look at the windsheild curve where the photocell is located it is partially shielded from direct light anyways. But that should not matter, ambient light should trigger it!!!
Anyone else notice this? Another date with the dealer I suppose. Should of bought another Ford.

noticed similar problem

i noticed a smilar problem that you are describing but i just turn the light on and off manually.
I dont really like the automatic light, it turns the lights on much earlier than it supposed.

this is off the topic but i think the daytime running lights are just a way of car companys or companies tha tmake light bulbs have more bussiness. light bulbs are burning out much faster this way.

Ford

Whatever! What a stupid piece o poop comment! If you go to the dealer about this you are a punk! I'd rather the lights come on too soon rather than have to turn them on manually. I hope the dealer messes with your car if you take this in!

Sell your car and get a ford! We dont need punks like you driving a good car!

I have just the opposite problem with the auto lights. Out yesterday afternoon in heavy rain and very little light, but the lights did not come on. Anyone know if these are adjustable or does the sensor need to be replaced?

Daytime running lights are legally required in Canada, and a few of the states...
