Which system is louder the CAI or the Stillen Highflow Intake.

 

Stillen. The CAI opening is muffled by the inner fender, where the Stillen intake is right in the open.

 

Actually, IMHO the CAI is much louder.

 

I yield to Kevin. He's had both. I was speculating.

 

I have a 2.5" custom cat-back exaust. Im using a direct flow muffler. And yes, I had the resonater removed. The exaust is deeper and much louder than stock. But I can live with it. The question is, if I get a stillen hiflow or CAI. Will it make my exaust any and noticably louder or will I just hear an additional sucking sound from the front of my car?

 

Also, how much louder can I expect my exaust to be if I add a stillen or cattman y pipe? Or will it just change the exaust note and not make the decibel level any higher?

 

At WOT, you'll hear your CAI... but I can't really say because of your custom cat-back. You'll definitely hear the sucking sound when you're at idle or rolling. Sounds nice too.
