Radiator Hoses replacement

My car (2003) has close to 90k miles on it. I was wondering if i should replace my upper and lower radiator hoses. Visually they look fine, but 90k miles on them is not a joke. I drive a lot and i don't want any of them to burst, especially when i go snowboarding this winter.

Has anyone replaced radiator hoses on their 5th gen already?
Is it necessary for me to do it at 90k miles or i can safely wait longer?
Any tricks when replacing them? Can't be that hard, but i've been wrong before.
A local auto-shop asked $189 to replace both of them. I'm planning to do the work myself and save $$. ..i just don't want to do it if it's still safe to use the original hoses.

Thank you for any input.

Simple replacement. It requires obviously draining system, and pulling them off, or cutting them off it stuck. If they visually look good, and are still fairly firm but not rock hard, then you probably dont need to replace them. I've hard a few cars with well over 120K on them with original hoses.

I replaced my hoses along with a new radiator a few months back. I got Gator hoses, went to their website and called local authrozied dealer who incidently had it in stock. In the Bay Area, Gator has a big wearhouse, so it was easy for me -- both hoses costed me $50.

I wouldn't worry about it. Time is more of a factor than miles. Good OEM hoses last a long time. If you are going to replace the radiator hoses, might as well do the heater hoses and thermostat while you have the system opened.

Where exactly did you find Gator hoses? I used Google but not much luck. Is the name spelled corectly?

Thank you!

I never replaced the hoses on my 94 and I sold it with 190k on it. Don't waste your time hunting down hoses to save a few bucks, just buy the Nissan stuff and be done with it.
