What do you guys know about the soon to be released rear drive G35? (Autoweek, June 25, page 4.

FreshAlloy.com has a nice write up about it, including some sweet pics. Motor trend website also has a write up about it. I was waiting for the 2k2 Maxima, but now I think I'm pretty much sold on the G35 which is due out spring 2002.

i read in THe Automotive News that it is to be based on the Skyline and was a high perfomance car. They said it would be available in the US next spring.

next spring, huh?

look at it this way, being RWD & having the VQ35 at 260 hp, maybe more, gotta put that against Lexus GS300/400s or even Acura's Type-S cars. RWD ppl, too bad it's gonna be Infiniti, which means the $$$ is high.

For the past 4 months, I've been seriously thining of trading in my 6spd Legend for either a 2K2 maxima or Altima or the G35. But now I dropped the Nissan and my only car to get is the Tl Type-S.

Everyday I walk into my garage, I see 3 cars. Legend, ITR and the Maxima. The Acuras are the nice one, but the Maxima is just so ugly at the back at certain angle. I will not think about the Maxima any more. The 2k2 looks even more worse than the current one. I've seen Type-S TL and they are just the best front drive sport sedan.
