what are some easy fast mods to do to these cars that I can do myself?

 

Since your a donating member...search under the 5g forums for "GAB"...its a free mod...and yields 9whp on vq35's

 

One could start by stating priorites. Are you looking for handling? Braking? Acceleration?

Handling: Spring Strut upgrade, RSB, FSTB. Tires.

Braking: Big Brake Kit.

Acceleration: NOS, Headers, B-Pipe, GAB.

Checkout the forum, lots of good information here.

 

Let's see what's on the dollar menu:

1) GAB
2) Irish's blowby filter
3) Foglight rewire
4) TB restrictor/SSIM
5) AE mod

 

dang, Thanks a lot guys, I already did the handling stuff. It's just not on the car, I wast more power now!

Just did the GAB and I noticed a little more power but then I put it back because I have a intake on the way. Sounded kinda nice too. Thanks again guys.

So you cut open your airbox, then "put it back"? Got any pics during the install?

 

Maybe he put the holes he drilled out back in somehow??? I have to call bull**** on that one.

 

He could've done the coat-hanger GAB?

 

You should sell the aftermarket intake and keep the GAB.

 

the coat hanger version. No BS at all. I want to keep the Injen intake and keep the stock NON modified air box.

HA HA, yea I have a 2000 CBR 929RR if I really want to go fast, No car that I could ever realisticly buy could touch it. I just want to do some things to my car myself. I take more pride in things that way... guess I'm just different.

None of these are difficult mods, I know I can do these and more. He never stated his mechanical ability so I just offered what I thought were easy mods.

 

I mean.....no one has ever owned a 3.5 looking to make it quicker/fast......
