$560 for 2 O2 Sensor's?

Guys, i have two bad 02 sensors that tripped my SES and will need replacement. Does that price sound reasonable? It includes the labor for doing it. I've searched around briefly and looks like this is something i can DIY but haven't found a how-to for it.

I also have a slightly cracked drivebelt. Are both the belts and sensors something i need to get replaced ASAP or can it wait a couple thousand miles while i save up for it?

Thanks!

I wouldn't drive around very long knowing I have a cracked drive belt. What kind of crack are we talking about? Little cracks on the inside ridges of the belt or something else? Cracks on the ridges is a sign the belt is going bad and needs replacement, but can still be driven for a considerable amount of time/mileage. However, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but driving w/ bad O2 sensors can damage your CAT which is an expensive fix!

I think OEM sensors are in the ballpark of 110-130 each, or you can try this website oxygensensors.com, better prices there. So 2 sensors should cost you in the mid 200's for OEM ... and 300 for labor? WTF ... YIKES!!

You'll need a sensor socket and/or wrench to replace the sensors.

I used an adjustable to replace one of mine. The dealer wanted $140 for 1 O2 sensor, I asked for a discount and they said OK and charged me $118.

I just bought two at Midway Nissan in Phoenix, 105 each. The dealer wanted 285 to replace them and reprogram the ECU, I called a muffler shop and had them do it for 65 for the two. Dont know if your ECU will require the "so called" reprogram. I had to do mine this year because it was due for emissions testing, drove it from the muffler shop straight to the emissions station and passed, now hopefully the "idiot P0140" light doesnt come on again. I have been driving it for about 2 years with the light on, just kind of got used to it, knowing eventually it would have to be resolved. I would like to thank everyone on this site for the help and tips, couldnt do it without this forum..........

I got all 4 of the O2s from www.ngk.com and replaced them myself by renting the special tools from Autozone -- all for $330.

$560 is ripoff, plain and simple....
