Where to purchase a transmission?

I almost bought one from phoenixhardparts.com for $1200 but after doing about 15 minutes of research decided a Used tranny with 130K miles and no warranty would probably be more reliable.
Any other recomendations. Please no used transmission off of ebay. Remember 90 day warranties don't mean much when you don't have freight shipping discounts and have to pay return shipping of $300-$400 to get sent another used trans.
I'm looking for reputable companies that offer warranties and am trying to stay under the $2000 mark. I could get one from Nissan employee priced @ 2300 with a 12/12 warranty but I think that is a bit to high.

Are you doing the install yourself? If so, then a used trans from a local salvage yard would be the way to go. They usually provide at least a 30 day warranty, which would cover start up and the first few hundred miles. I have intsalled more than several engines in this manner and have yet to experience a problem. Transmissions would be similar.

Maxima Transmission

I have an auto transmission out of an 2002 Maxima with 50,000 miles. If your still looking at buying one email me at extremelinecollision@mts.net and we can discuss it.

Yes, doing the install myself. No luck at the local junk yards. I've already tried that route.
Used + internet = Potential disaster.
