I was wondering if it will fit. because ever site i've been to suggust 35 series. Some of my fiends in my car club say it will fit,but i need to find out from someone who has a max, or little bit more about rims and tires ,what would you advise .Can some one please help me? THANK YOU

1.tire:235/40/zr19 if that does not work I will go with 235/35/zr19

good chance they will NOT fit, plus your speedo would be off.

It depends on: 1. width of tire
2. offset of rim
3. if you're lowered or not

I run 40 series on my 18x8s (235/40) and come VERY close to rubbing.

The real question is: "if every site you've been to suggest 35 series," then why do you want 40-series, exactly?

35 series would be tiny most likely (depending on how wide the tire is). Would deff make for a harsh ride and it would increase the chances of bending the rim. 40 would be better but prob wouldent look that great on a rim that big

people fit 20s with a 35 series tire, so i dont see why a 40 series 19 wouldnt fit.

Like posted above . it depends on the width of the tire (225 - 245), your drop, and rim offset.

I was running 235 35 19 on my 02 with absolutely no problems.. i have no idea why 40 series would rub, 35 came nowhere near rubbing (40eta offset on rims)

I've got 245/40/19 in the rear and they do rub on the right side on big dips. I still have yet to recenter the beam which I think is the culprit. My offset is 33. HTH

i think what would matter more would be the width of the tire. on my max i had 245/35/20 with no problems. i think 235/40/19 should be fine it will be about the same dia. at the 245/35/20...and i never rubbed unless i had to oafs in the back.
