Spark Plug Question

I know it's been asked before about spark plugs, but here goes anyway... I plan to pick up some NGK platinum's from Advance Auto Parts. My question is, what is the difference between these 2 plugs:

1. NGK BKR5EGP, G-Power Platinum, $2.98/each

2. NGK PFR5G-11, OE Style Laser Platinum, $9.98/each

Also, would it even be worth it to consider iridium's, either the cheaper ones or the OE style? I'm leaning towards the G-Power Platinum... Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated!

I just went with the G-Power plugs... I can't justify spending an extra $6/each on platinum plugs because they're labeled "OE" unless there's some clear difference between the 2...

There is a clear difference between the two, I couldn't tell you the exact difference but it's worth it to put in the ones the manufacturer recommends. In my old max I decided to go the cheap route with plugs, and down the line a had a misfire, it was the plugs. They weren't the ones the manufaturer recommended. So in the end I had to buy the expensive ones anyways, and had to throw the cheap plugs in the garbage. Complete waste of money.

The G-Power plug has Platinum on the center electrode only. The OEM Laser Platinum has Platinum on both center and ground. Double Platinum plug lasts longer.

pretty sure these "2. NGK PFR5G-11, OE Style Laser Platinum, $9.98/each" are what comes out of there,.. and those are what u need to put back in,.. i was stuipd and bought the 3 dollar ones and she just wouldnt run right so i had to pull em all back out and go back to the store and get the expensive ones,.. IMO car ran like **** with the 3 dollar ones

Ah, that's the response I was looking for! It's a moot point now, I just replaced the OEM's with the G-Power earlier tonight.

My car ran just fine the 3 miles I test drove it... Seemed to have more "pep" with the new plugs.

Yeah, I already read that... But I didn't see anything about OE Platinum versus G Platinum.

Thanks for the responses everyone!

I would get the stock plugs and not worry about it.
