hey what do you guys think of these lights for the side markers? since our bulbs dont shine straight out towards the side, these seem to be good since they face to the side and shine the light straight outward:

the license plate lights are easy... just pop your trunk, and above your license plate you'll see 2 seperate clear housings... use a phillips head to undo the screws on each of them and they'll come down.. after that, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the clear plastic housing away from the black plastic clips... be careful not to break the plastic though.. once you pry it out you'll see the bulb... pop old bulb out, pop new one in and put everything back together

as far as the dome i'm not sure... i thnik you just pry it out with a flathead screwdriver

good luck!

Jawwaad 05 I had the exact same idea in mind. I've tried looking for replacement bulbs for the lexus and looking at the stock wiring but I have had no luck. At least you know they were hyper whites. Either way I'll find some way to put them on my car. I have an 02.

naw for my Sidemarkers i did Autolumination White LED's. i can almost guaranteed you'll love them, ive had them for like 8 months, and THEY LOOK THE SAME WAY SINCE DAY ONE.

I have not been pulled over for these at all, before i had blue LED's in the side markers in all four corners. But since installing these, i draw no attention from the police

take a look, get a set and have fun, they are the
"5 LED WEDGE MATRIX LED BULB" They are the

third down from the top...http://autolumination.com/194.htm

here is a pic with no flash, fully shot of car...if you notice they have a slight bluish tint to them:

Here is a pic of the rear sidemarker on the passenger side:

and this last pic is a picture of the driver side rear sidemarker, if you look at the light being thrown on the ground it is the silhouette coming from my tag lights....which are roughly the EXACT same color as the sidemarkers:

SORRY FOR THE LARGE PICS, TINYPIC.COM was the QUICKEST upload site without me having to resize them because i accidently left my CAMERA on 3MP shots

The PIAA's looked alot more dull compared to the ones i got from Autolumination. The ones i have from Autolumination ARE ALOT BRIGHTER, considering the ones in my sidemarkers are 5 LED's and the PIAA's are only 2 LED's

Have these on my car for a while now. Finally had a chance to take pics of the leds I have in my License plate and courtesy lights. I made these to fit perfectly into the 168 or 194 bulb socket. The LEDs i used are 5mm 55,000 mcd.

I used two leds for each:

Here it is in the license plate:

Here it is in the courtesy light:

These are just some of the pics...i have more.

The many uses of 194 bulbs

Also, license plates and trunk.

Couldnt find anything else that I could throw my spare 194's in. If I missed something chime in.

Haven't tried the LEDs that I made in the sidemarkers. They should fit with no problems. I'm sure they would be pretty bright and white like the plate and courtesy lights I have.
