Changing PCV on a 2000 Maxima?

Just wondering if something like this ever needs to be changed on a 2000 Maxima SE. I currently have about 130,XXX miles on my car, and as far as i know, it has never been changed. (i've had the car since about 65,000 miles). I was thinking of possibly changing it for preventative reasons, and when i called Nissan, they were VERY surprised that I wanted that part. He said that only 80 have been sold in all of Canada for 2000 Maxima's.

So? Change or no change, that is the question!

Thanks again

Some people feel it and some dont.. all depends of it's blocked or not. I just bought one yesterday for 8 bucks at a local parts store. Like sooner said, pretty easy to change and it can only help not hurt. there are how-tos all over the place if you do a search. good luck.

WTF @ 80 sold in Canada? You sure they knew what you were talking about? I've replaced mine already and I've only put 34k miles on my car since I've owned it. My dealer stocks them regularly...It's preventative maintenence. You're not necessarily going to notice a difference (unless it's not functioning correctly) but you are lessening the chance of something going wrong.
