Cattman b-pipe with stock muffler

Anyone have or had problems mating a cattman b-pipe to a stock muffler? I went to try to get that done and the mechanic said the flanges on both are differently spaced and the difference in pipe diameters between the two will cause enough back-pressure to damage the engine.
Anyone hear or know any of this?

I have had no problems with mine. Sounds like you took it to a shop that doesn't know what they're doing.

yeah thats what their doing, a good shop should be able to do almost anything w/ exhaust, i have a stock setup to the cat then the cattman b-pipe to a 2.5" flowmaster muffler

the stuff he said about the flange is crap, the flange on the catt. pipe was cut off and they just made a 2.5" pipe to go over the axle and weld onto the muffler and welded it all together, did a good job too
