Code reader/Scan Tool

Can anyone recommend a good scan tool (code reader) that is communicates well with the maxima. I am looking to spend up to $500, but would like to know if anyone has any advice.

yea, but the nearest autozone is 30min away, plus I want something that I can use while I am working on my car or diagnose if it breaks down and can not get to an autozone.
How are their scanners though, do they have the enhanced features for nissan's?

If you just want to get the codes then I would just get the $75 one at advance auto or autozone. Works great.

Autozone Miami - Side note.

I called several AutoZone in the city of Miami and just outside of Miami.... to verify they would scan my codes.

Several AutoZones inside the city and one just outside the city report they are not allowed to scan codes. WHen I ask one AutoZone Emp why... He responded with the city would fine the store.

I found one just 15mins north of the city that would scan. I Showed up this morning 9:00am, had the car scanned ( P0420, maxima.org is great looked it up ... got the skinny)got a price qoute on a sensor ( Bosch 107.00) and was out of there by 9:10 ( with a free diet coke... i forgot to pay).
