Hello all Max stunnas/lovers. I have Eibach Pro-Kit, Tokico Blues HP and currently running on stock 16" SE rims. I need to change rims and i'm looking at a set of 17's on tirerack.com . If i used 17x7.5, what tires size is best for my car without rubbing and if i use 18x8, what tires size should i use. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks.

235/40/18 would work well with 18x8 rims.

Yeah i'm thinking of 18x8 with that tire size, but would it get enough clearance with the Eibachs?

Try Discount Tire Direct

Check out www.discounttiredirect.com I think they have a better selection, plus they have the Konig Tantrums and Verdicts which would look cool on the Max.

HELP. Does anyone knows if this tire/rim setup can work good with Eibachs? I need to know if it will rub on the fender and there will be clearance. Please reply someone. I want to buy them by discounttire.com

hmmm....the Konigs are 17" x 7". I don't think the tires are meant to be mounted on 7" wide rims. You may want to double check though. For 235 series tires, the rim should be 7.5" wide for most cases. Look for some 7.5" or 8" wide rims for the most choice in tires. People have mounted 235's on the stock 7" rims without any problems yet, so it may be ok. But I don't think the tire manufacturer would recommend it.

ok I ordered set of Dunlop SP 5000 P235/45/17 and set of set of Konig Tantrum 17x8. I hope this doesn't works good with the Eibachs. They suppose to show up at my door Wednesday morning. I'm selling my Stock SE 16 with tires. Anyone interested i'm selling it for $500.00. They have on Michellin Pilots. 225/55/16 All season.
