2003 6 speed tune up help/suggestions on parts etc
Hello,
I recently gutted my Maxima, pulled the floors up, sound deadened everything with several layers...changed the battery and just picked up a new filter for my frankencar intake. Its got about 83k miles on it. What should I do in regards to wires, plugs etc? I already changed the tranny fluid at 75k miles. I also have changed the internal air filters several times recently. Any help would be great considering I cannot search.

go to Google.com or another search engine and type: "2003 tune up MAXIMA.ORG".

I'd walk through Section 8 of the manual and check those things, then the appropriate maintenence items as per your mileage as listed.
THe iridium plugs are great in the 3.5 cars. I noticed a difference after puting them in with the same milege you have.
DO NOT mess with the throttle body on an 02 and up Maxima. The drive by wire setup is easy to mess up. A lot of people here have come out of pocket big time after messing with it. It's OK for a 00/01 car but not on yours.

Actually, a good item to upgrade would be your shifter bushings. Those are typically worn and mushy even after 30-40K miles. Get some Energy Suspension shifter bushings (with a good amount of white lithium grease) and it'll improve shifter feel a lot.
