FYI,
some question can be answered easier by doing a google search. you will get a quicker answer than if you start a thread, we do the same google search for you, and reply to the thread.

its not always about size

but really, it really doesnt matter if the filter is bigger. the air flow is limited by the tubing and throttle body (not the filter size).
size, design, and flow are important.

well it is indeed true, i think the throttle body is like 2.5" in diameter, less than the 3" that are in the rest of the intake.

but look at it this way, my velocity stack in my JWT popcharger is A LOT bigger than the velocity stack in the A'PEXi filter.

now theoretically that should build a stronger venturi effect than the smaller filter. i mean jesus. my velocity stack is like 5".

Yup... you have a berk intake, why not stay with a trustworthy guy. I'm not saying that other sellers are dishonest, but Bryan is actually on the org.

His org name is cobymoby

Have you checked out the AEM Dryflow? Seems like a cheaper dry filter alternative, but doesnt seem to be very widely used by org members yet. Berk recently started supplying it as their base filter to replace the k&n.

The quick pros/cons

Apexi: - Dual velocity stack design & flows better
- More expensive and non-reuseable

AEM: - Non velocity stack, will not flow as well
- Less expensive and is washable and reuseable.
Thats a direct quote from Bryan. I also did a little research when I bought this filter a while back. At that time, it was either the Apexi or K&N. With our weak MAFs, I went with the dry filter. The way I look at it, 30k miles equals 2+ years of having a high performance filter. To me thats worth every penny.

Have you looked the design qualities of the Apexi?

Honestly.... if you check AEM's website and above posted cardomain.com for the Apexi filter, the prices are pretty damn close. It's like 2 bucks difference.
