Ok,I got the auto tranny cooler, and I'm going to install it tomorrow. I went out to have a sneak peek at what I'd be doing, and noticed that the tranny lines are a ***** to get to. I don't have a garage or jack or anyplace besides my apartment parking lot to get under the car, but it looks like that's about the only way. Does anyone have any tips on the install, and placement of the cooler? I got the Hayden 404 by the way. Some people said 403, some 405, so I split the difference. Anyways, any tips would be much appreciated! I know any retard with a wrench is supposed to be able to do this, but I want it to be as close to perfect as I can get it.

Is access to those fluid lines tough even after removng the splash guard? I would think that removing the splash guard would give you access to those lines from underneath. You should have enough clearance to get underneath there without a jack...
From what I have seen, the cooler should be placed in front of the AC condenser.

Yeah, it's almost impossible to get to the lines if you don't remove the plastic guards. Once you've done so, you can easily access all the tranny hoses. I recommend getting a jack and some jackstands before doing this mod. You want as much room to work with as possible.

Well, looks like it's all going to wait anyways. Nissan has graciously decided to give me a whole new tranny, since this is the third time I've taken it in for the TSB-related problems. I'm not going to even bother attaching the cooler to the tranny when it's going bye-bye in a week. Any recommendations on where to mount the cooler?
