Best place to splice for a hardwire XM

I am about hardwire in my XM (using the original cord and female adapter method). Where have you guys spliced it into? I am looking for an easy spot where I can still hide all the wires.

Thanks!

I'm going to splice mine in behind the cigarette lighter. Just pop the panel out and splice in.

Just behind the dash, there's plenty of room for it

There's just enough room to solder a lead on the blade between the cig lighter and the plug.

with my xm install, i put the brain on the passanger side down by the foot well behind the plastic piece on the bottom right side. I hard wired it into the cig lighter (so it turns on and off with the ignition. This location allowed me to easily run the wires down the plastic pieces by the door jams and place the antena on my trunk lid. Good luck.
