Accident, hoods: oem vs. cf aftermarket

Cliffs: Accident happened. Not my fault. Going to see if insurance will cut check instead of taking care of everything. Not wondering about aftermarket bumpers and fenders as I know about fitment. CF hood painted vs OEM? Worth it? I basically need a new front bumper, drivers side headlight and fender and a hood. So I thought I'd ask if anyone has had experience with CF hoods vs. OEM. Thank you.

I have a CF hood and if you want it to fit perfect you will have to pin it. when I put mine on latch only it had a huge gap on the passinger side vs the drivers side. There was nothing I could do about it I tryed adjusting it but that did no good. so if you dont mind the pined look then do it and save some weight. If you just want the look buy the VIS fiber glass invader hood.

le sigh....

Z... what are we going to do with you?

Honestly, take what the insurance company will give you, since they will price it out via an adjuster, MAKE SURE they know about the HID lights, since it will net you more money. Hopefully they will cut you a check, but sometimes they will make you go to a predetermined place for repairs.

Either way, your car gets fixed.

If they give you the money straight out. Find the price of a CF hood, scope out a good paint shop and go from there. A new CF hood + pins might be more expensive than an OEM hood.

You know either way, I'm helping with the installs!!!

you'll never get a factory fit w/ cf, at least not by just bolting it on. it'll take some work.
