led power

whats ups fellas,

So I finally finished doing the window switch leds metals way. Only problem he says to tap into the red w/ white strip wire. I tapped into the the only think white w/ red stripe wire thinking this was the one on the bigger harness but the leds stayed on constant. I dont see the red and white wire that he shows in the pic post #47 http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....&highlight=LED Is that located on the smaller harness?

I don't know if the colors are different because I have a 2k2.

Thanks,
Kev

i bought an LED dome light for my 02 max and when i put the switch in the middle to make it come on when the doors open the light stays 1/4 of the way. and never goes off and then i put some in map lights and those dont come on at all. I bought them from autoillumination.com and they told me to switch some wires around but there arent any. Holla back

If you're talking about tapping into the power wire for illumination, the wiring scheme is different from the earlier 5th gener's ('00) as compared the the later 5th gener's ('02 and up). For the 2k's, the power wire for illumination for the driver's window switch is red with white tracer. For 2k2's, the power wire for the illumination wire in the driver's window switch is white with blue tracer (if I can remember correctly).
