Inside brake rotors thinner?

I had a fellow-org'er help change the front brake pads on my 03 Max this weekend. I have around 63k miles on it and this was the first time changing the pads. We noticed that the inside rotors were thinner than the outside rotors on both the left and right sides. He has a 98 Max and says the rotors are the same thickness on both sides on his car. I'm curious as to whether this is normal/by design on 5th Gen Maximas. If not, is that a red flag? Should the rotors be replaced? Thanks.

replace and dont forget to take the caliper slides apart and clean/lube thoroughly sounds like the caliper/slides were/are sticking causing the uneven wear
