00 auto to 01 AE auto.

I am planning on swapping my 2000 auto to a 2001 AE auto. DaveB says the drivers side might need to be changed. My dealership says they both look like the are interchangable. Has anybody done this.

last time i heard the axles needed to be changed only for the 5spd swap. The axle lengths are different on the ae i think. Why you doing a auto swap, why not just do a 5spd swap?

According to checker auto the A.E has a left side different the normal one. I might as well replace starter to since it sounds bad when starting.

i know someone with an auto AE tranny for sale. And you'll have to change the driver side axle i believe.

what's the price and how many miles. I got one in mind that i got checked out. $900 with 51,000 miles on it.

contact Vlasic on the forums... It came off my car.. i traded a 5 spd tranny for it. It has 70K miles and still going strong.. no slippage of any sort and i think last time i asked him he wanted 300-400 dollars
