That was mostly the CAI. The setup in that video was CAI, Y pipe, and Stillen muffler.

Yes, I'm still waiting to pass the teacher.

Are you going with a smaller pulley since you know 3.25 gives 6 psi? I need to dyno so it'll give you a good idea what kind of numbers I'm putting down. Don't want you blowing anything up, right? Hehehe

Track? It'll take forever for me to get to a track in Bay Area rush hour traffic. I'll be going when Turbo95Max gets his car all fixed up and Jane gets her smaller pulley.

What's the chriping sound on the start vid? Is that a bird or somthign from the car? So the pulley for 6psi is 3.25 and the stock pully is poopy?

The other mpeg is when I was N/A. It sounds like the shifts are sluggish, but they're not. I'm still baffled at why it sounds like that on video.

Yup... it's a birdie.

Seems like stock = 2 psi
3.25 = 6 psi

6 psi should put down somewhere between 270-300 (since 2 psi puts down ~246), so don't get a smaller pulley just because the boost is low... but it's up to you.

So Kev when is the dyno, I need to know so that I can change my pulley if things go well. You better do it soon, I want more boost.

Does anyone know what made the 4th Gen Maxima in The Fast and The Furious sound the way it did in the movie? It made a cool whirring/whine sound. Is it the supercharger at work? If so, I WANT ONE!

So Kev u would not suggest going to the smaller pulley? Why? If you can gain close 30 hp buy changing a pulley and nothing else and not hurt anythign why not? I'm not sure what your trying to say?

DOH! But kids poop a lot too whereas my Maxima doesn't.

I used to come to this board just to read about TSB's and to get information about resolving problems with my car. At one point a few months back I almost traded my car in for a TL-S (mainly due to the poor service I was getting from local Nissan dealers). After test driving the TL-S I realized how much more I like the VQ (not to mention their 5 speaker Bose system sucked {no tweeters})

As the months passed I got sucked in to the Org.

LET THE TRANSFORMATION BEGIN!

I hope to meet many of you at Maxus.

Ahhhhh...... maybe I shouldn't dyno and let you run 2 psi's for the rest of the car's life. Hehehehe

That is a V1 supercharger, and mine is a V2 supercharger. They are basically the same thing except the V1 whines because of the gears.

Why? Because you're an auto just like me. You can probably do a 3.25 because it seems safe (for now), but the auto tranny will give sooner or later. Nissan's tranny is not strong, so I don't recommend going crazy with boost. My driving habits have tamed a bit because I always have a blown out tranny in the back of my mind.

Why is stock pulley only boosting at 2PSI??? I thought it is suppose to have like around 6-6.5 lbs of boost?

Stillen messed up again!!

mmmm, maybe we should juss go to the track after we put in Jane's smaller pulley. I have a feeling the motor will never get done and i might end up giving up. Sell the motor and maybe sell the car. feels like a Cheap POS.

Hey Kev,

First I want to thank you for sparking interest in a SC!! Hey did you have to punch you oil pan to make a return line from the SC? I guess that would be my real concern, other than that now I will save all of my bonus money and dump it into my car again!

What's next for your car?

Kevin,
You've got me thinking about a S/C for my car instead of doing my work at the office and I never knew what an S/C was before I joined this board. Once you get the S/C tweaked and are satisfied with it, what's next? Are there any other performance modifications you are considering? Just curious, do you have a vision of when are you finished? I've been amazed and educated following your car's progression. It's a thing of beauty.

You're only missing the head gasket. No need to rush.

No need to punch any holes in the oil pan. The kit includes a tee which taps into where the oil pressure sensor is (for feed line). The oil drainback hole is right under the SC (which goes back into your engine through a hose.

Get it! Get it! Get it! Hehehe

Hehehe What's next? Here's a few things (in no particular order): intercooler, A'pexi Super AFC, torque converter(?), GReddy cat-back, A'pexi fuel pressure gauge, Tomei air/fuel ratio gauge, Vortech Super FMU, larger injectors(?), ECU(?), 6 speed conversion(?), SMALLER pulley(?), etc. I don't know what's next... guess it'll be a spur of the moment thing.
