Cattman Ypipe on a 5.5gen 6mt...worth it?

I already have the full Cattman catback exhaust but Im getting a deal on a used cattman ypipe. I just wanted some info on the gains, if there are any. I heard only the 00-01 benefited more from the ypipe b/c the precats were eliminated. Im guessing thats not the case for the 02-03s, so is it pretty much a useless mod?

the gains will be minimal due to the precats...full headers on a 3.5 is more comparable to a y-pipe on a 3.0

If you plan on stopping with the y-pipe then it's OK. Otherwise I'd save for the headers. That's a mod you're really going to feel.

Since when was 23-24whp compairable to 13-14whp?

To the OP, a y-pipe on a 5.5 is like 8whp... Headers, over 20whp, you decide.

If you are getting a deal, throw it on and judge for yourself. I don't think it can hurt. I love mine.

the % is what matters since the HP is different to begin with

bottomline -
best single performance mod for a 3.0 - y-pipe
best single performance mod for a 3.5 - headers
