Another Max accident

I did not think it would happen to my max, but it did. =(

I was leaving from popeyes from lunch, and got on the feeder of 249 N and Spring Cypress rd. I got on my far left lane to make a the U-turn up ahead.
This other car exited the freeway and coming up fast in the same lane behind me. I was going slow to make the U-turn up ahead and the bastard started honking at me and got the right side lane pass me up cut me off and hit the right side of my from bumper and hood and slammed his breaks on me. I hit my break when cut me off to the point where they locked up and slid hitting him again from behind.

I was so pissed I got out and started knocking on his window, and wanted to kick his *** so bad for pulling that crap.

I hope Texas is not like PA. In PA, if you rear-end someone, it is pretty much automatically your fault!

Hopefully everything works out, and you are able to get your Max back into shape.

True, however, if there are witnesses to say the guy hit him while cutting him off in the right lane, then there's a good chance the other guy will be at fault.

BTW, you need rear wheels spacers. Maybe even fronts.

The only witness I have is my co-worker who was in the front passenger seat at the time of the accident.

Here in Texas if you hit someone from behind is basically your fault, but I'm hoping the adjuster from both insurance sees that the damage done to my car and his car is in an angle when he hit me upon cutting me off.

Actually was thinking of ordering some spacer from the GD section, I was looking at the:

Eibach Pro-Spacer (wheel spacers)
2000-2003 Nissan Maxima
5mm Spacer / Bolt Pattern 5x114.3 / Hub Center 66.1
Part number: 90.5.05.030.4
Maxima.org price: $60

What sucks is I have my new Eibach spring sitting in my rental car to replace my Tein H-Tech. I was going to have them install this weekend but now my car is sitting the Nissan collision center.

I'll call that no less than a $2000.00 repair with OEM parts, at least around here. There used to be a regulation that car bumper had to be designed to take a hit like that with little or no damage. Even though many of the designs were not pretty, they worked.

Guess which industry lobby got that regulation eliminated?

In most states, this is true....if you hit someone in the a**, you're automatically @ fault...

No questions asked
