I posted this on Nycmaximas.org forum and heard their opinions and now its your turn. Reason for this thread, is to see an alternative to LED tails.

They dont look that good in my opinion, the way they painted the outside of the tails makes it look like the round part is sticking out of the car. I think they are these tails: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...spagenameZWDVW

 

Yeah... Chop that is them.

I saw these tails in person and they are $hit. They do extend out and just look akward regardless if they're in chrome or black. Stillen just threw something together and put a hell of a $ticker on it to match.

I don't think the guy really cares though, look at his exhaust.

My god are those ugly as hell. And that muffler. That is the nastiest thing I have ever seen.

I dont like it at all, maybe if the paint was different or maybe if the LED's were aligned differently

Eh, it doesn't look that bad.

What I mean is, use some red, tail light paint or cover it over with a red transparent vinyl overlay and it probably would look pretty good.

 

The pic of Metal maxima's tails look nice. Almost like a single tail light styled after a skyline instead of 2 on each side.
On the other tails i like the led configuration but, yea, they look like they are sticking out and it makes it look like the car has jet engines that have just hit the afterburner. The tail pipes.....are..... a little
Maybe if the tails were cut off a bit it might not make the tails look so obvious.

 

They might look okay if they were darker, ie. tinted more.

The exhaust looks like two sawed off lead pipes...

 

hahahah its the Bond mobile. Thats a sawed off shotgun sticking out the end.

 

Its a single barrel shotgun with heat flare option and the other one is to spray the oil slick.

The tips are gay (remedy = cut 3/4 of it off and chrome it)

The lights are gayer (remedy = tint the damn thing black)

 

I would love to get some nice LEDs but I havent seen anything worthy to put on. And for thoes tips... WOW... that should be a crime.

i like them. are the leds good? caue ive seen a few that dont glow as bright as others....looks hideous...

Sorry but it doesnt do it for me, I dont even really like mine anymore and they're the black ones that are all cleared. The LED's in a few post up with the ocean look nice though.TETO

 

Sorry to hijack the thread, but your headlights are sexy as hell. How did you do that?

IIRC, Max0224 did both the headlights and taillights custom. i.e. making his own boards and inserting his own LEDs, if not using strips for the headlights.

 

Holy crap I bought that car pictured above from a dealership!!! Is it a org members car?

Mind you I changed both the lights and tail tips since owning the car so it doesn't look like that anymore

 

I have those LED tails but tinted them out so they look WAY better. Will post some pics soon.
