Because it has one, and about 90% of the 2k auto owners who have driven that fast also agree. I have hit that in my 2k auto and it bounced there off the limiter. I even have a friend that took the pic of it doing it...

Dude, if I could afford the type of boat that's slips in Burnham Harbor... No, if I could afford the *slip fees* to park a boat in Burnham Harbor, I wouldn't be driving a Max. Maybe an M5 or S8. And that'd be my *daily* driver...

No, I was just out taking pictures of my incredibly clean Max. That was probably the best one, but I've got 'bout a half-dozen very decent Max pics. (Now all I need to do is get some web space...)

I'm scheduled to be out West in mid-September (Glacier NP) so I don't know if I'll be around. Send the info anyway, since my schedule is subject to change.
e-mail is fine. I'll get it.
I got my 2k a tick under 130mph once or twice. I now have 2001AE which seems to want to drive at only 90mph on the highway. This car has no bottom end pull, but as soon as the tach hits 4200rpm the car blasts off! I've yet to open her up, its only got like 1k on the engine now. I'm waiting for that first oil change.
BTW, I used to own an 88' E30M3 BMW which will kill a stock or slightly modified max in a strait line, and especially in the twisties. So don't try to take one on! I took my m3 to 140mph a few times (it starts to slow at that speed) it got there very very fast. If any of you ever get a chance to drive one due so cause those cars are amazing!
I also used to own a 94'naZ. I topped that one out at 149mph driving down I5 one night. pretty scary @$#t.
